Qualifications:
BE/ ME Mechanical
Experience of up to 11 to 15 years
Software Knowledge: Excel, Word & PowerPoint, AutoCAD (Basic Knowledge)
Job Summary:
Responsible for overall piping discipline leadership and technical delivery on assigned projects. The role includes managing piping engineering activities from concept through commissioning, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with clients and vendors, and leading a team of engineers, designers, and modelers to deliver safe, efficient, and cost‑effective piping systems.
Key Responsibilities/ Skills:
Manage all piping engineering activities for assigned projects
Develop and approve: Piping Design Basis, Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Line classes and design criteria, MTO, Specification, RFQ – TQ, Vendor detail.
Plan piping engineering man‑hours/ budget, schedules, and deliverables
Approve piping layout philosophy and routing strategies, Identify critical lines and define stress analysis requirements, Coordinate with civil and structural teams for pipe racks, foundations, and support systems.
Implement checking process, continues checking on 3D modelling, list out Peer reviews for critical delivery. Conduct Constructability and operability reviews.
Ensure alignment with project scope, quality, cost, and schedule
Approve technical deviations, changes, and concessions single‑point technical authority for Clients and licensors, vendor / fabricators & Third parties, technical bid evaluations, estimation, and value engineering. and coaching team.
Implement engineering best practices, standards, and lessons learned
