We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineering & Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for process design, engineering calculations, equipment sizing, process optimization, and preparation of engineering deliverables for industrial and EPC projects. The role requires a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, process simulation software, industrial standards, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Education
B.E. / M.E. in Chemical Engineering
Experience
2–8 Years in Process Design / Engineering
Experience in EPC / Engineering Consultancy / Process Industries preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Process Engineering
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform material & energy balance, hydraulic calculations, utility calculations, and process optimization.
- Develop Process Design Basis, Equipment Datasheets, Process Datasheets (PDS), Instrument Process Datasheets (IPDS), Technical Specifications, and Design Reports.
- Design and size process equipment including:
o Distillation Columns
o Reactors
o Heat Exchangers
o Pumps
o Pressure Vessels
o Liquid & Solid Handling Equipment
- Perform:
o Heat Exchanger Sizing
o Column Sizing
o PSV Sizing
o Hydraulic Calculations
o Utility Estimation, Engineering Documentation
- Prepare and review:
o Equipment Lists
o Line Lists
o Utility Summary
o Alarm & Trip Lists
o Cause & EAect Diagrams
o Interlock Philosophy
o Control Narratives
- Assist in preparation of Process Descriptions and Control Philosophy documents.
- Finalize complete technical engineering packages after project award.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil and Piping disciplines.
- Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP, HAZID and SIL studies.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors and project teams for technical discussions.
- Support project execution, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
- Review engineering deliverables and recommend value engineering opportunities.
Technical Leadership
- Drive engineering quality and process improvements.
- Investigate process issues using analytical and data-driven approaches.
- Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, international engineering codes and safety regulations.
